What "major" stressors did you experience as an adolescent? Did you feel comfortable in talking to your parents about your situation? If not, was there another trusting adult you could go to? How did you cope with, or what stress management technique did you use, during this "major" stressor?

Imagine you are an adolescent transitioning from elementary to middle school. Your parents had to move to a low SES area because of loss of job. Explain the common traits of transition, then take into consideration moving from high SES to low SES environment. What adjustments would you have to make? What are some problems that you may face?

The FLSA's child labor provisions are designed to protect the educational opportunities of minors and prohibit their employment in jobs and under conditions detrimental to their health or well being. When you were growing up, do you remember the first time that you came across someone of a different culture? How was this culture different from yours? Did you easily accept this culture?
